A fine eleven-piece Japanese export eggshell porcelain tea and snack service, dating from the late Meiji to the Taisho period, circa 1900 to 1925. The set comprises a teapot with lid, a double-handled sugar bowl with lid, a creamer with lid, four teacups, and four palette-shaped snack plates featuring integrated thumb holes for standing service. Each piece is meticulously hand-painted with overglaze enamels and accented with raised moriage dotting and gilding. The decorative programme features traditional Japanese landscape motifs, including Manchurian cranes, Mandarin ducks, gnarled pine trees, and flowering cherry blossoms. The lids are surmounted by stylised cherry blossom finials. The plates bear black calligraphic signatures and red artist seals to the front, characteristic of high-quality export studios of the era. Teapot height 14 cm, Plate width 21 cm.
