A comprehensive collection of ceramics produced for the renowned tea merchants Ringtons Ltd, comprising two distinct decorative patterns. The first group features the Exclusive Chintz design on a fine china body, decorated with a dense all-over blue floral transfer highlighted with pink blossoms and green scrolling foliage. This set includes two teapots of compressed globular form with faceted sides, an open sugar bowl, a milk jug, and four matching faceted mugs. Base marks for this set are printed in underglaze blue: RINGTONS / A FAMILY BUSINESS EST. 1907 with horse and cart logo, further inscribed EXCLUSIVE CHINTZ DESIGN SPECIALLY COMMISSIONED BY RINGTONS LTD FINE CHINA. The second group consists of eight footed bone china mugs in the Victoriana pattern, featuring a vibrant polychrome transfer-printed design of roses, pansies, strawberries, and blackberries interspersed with butterflies and bees against a pale blue ground. These are marked to the base: VICTORIANA / RINGTONS / A FAMILY BUSINESS SINCE 1907 with logo, and Bone China / Microwave & Dishwasher Safe. Teapots height 13cm, Victoriana mugs height 10.5cm.
