A pair of Royal Doulton glazed porcelain figurines comprising Nanny, model HN 2221, and The Old Balloon Seller, model HN 1315. Nanny depicts an elderly woman in a rocking chair mending a brown teddy bear with a small doll at her feet. The base carries the green Royal Doulton lion-and-crown backstamp, the title, model number, a 1957 copyright date, and multiple registration numbers including Rd No 885082, 36883, 7773, and 198/57. The Old Balloon Seller depicts a seated woman with a cluster of colourful balloons and a wicker flower basket, marked with the factory backstamp and model number HN 1315. Both pieces feature hand-painted decorator marks to the underside. Heights approximately 15.2cm and 19.1cm.
