A fine Royal Doulton bone china figurine titled Flower Sellers Children, model number HN 1342. This classic study depicts two siblings seated upon a low, off-white bench. The older boy, dressed in a purple-toned tunic, protectively embraces a younger girl wearing a deep red dress and matching headscarf. In the foreground sits an oversized basket overflowing with a vibrant assortment of hand-modelled flowers, including red and yellow roses and pink tulips. The piece features rich, multi-tonal glazes and expressive facial features. The underside bears the standard Royal Doulton lion-and-crown backstamp in black underglaze, along with the title and model number. Includes a small green hand-painted decorator mark, possibly 31, and a minor pinkish pigment mark from the artist’s brush. Height: 16.5 cm.
