A pair of Toyo porcelain melon jars in the Fruits Temptation pattern. Each jar features an oviform body with a matching domed cover surmounted by a pointed gilt finial. The decoration consists of hand-painted polychrome enamels depicting a dense arrangement of fruit, including grapes, peaches, and berries, with shaded green foliage, all heightened with gilt outlines. The undersides retain original gold foil labels reading Toyo MADE IN CHINA and Fruits Temptation Natural Handpainted Porcelain 57-5011 Melon Jar 10″, alongside a red four-character stamped mark. Height: 10 inches.
