A Lladró glazed porcelain figurine titled Study Buddies, model number 5451, designed by sculptor Antonio Ramos. This piece was issued in 1988 and retired in 2007. The pastoral scene depicts a young boy wearing a pink striped cap, blue shirt, and taupe trousers lying on his stomach on a grassy mound while intently reading a small book. A brown and white spotted puppy rests playfully on his back, peering toward the pages. The composition is completed with a small bird perched on a branch and a stack of books tied with a cord. The base features the printed blue underglaze Lladró bell flower logo, Hand Made in Spain, and copyright Daisa 1987. It also bears the incised model number 5451 and B-22 S, alongside faint handwritten artist markings and an old adhesive inventory label. Height: 4.75 inches.
