A Lladró glazed porcelain figurine titled Bedtime Story, model number 5457. This piece, designed by Vicente Martínez, depicts a tender scene of a mother seated on a stool reading a book to her young daughter, who leans affectionately against her side. The figures are rendered in the characteristic Lladró palette of soft pastel colours and muted tones, with fine detailing on the clothing and facial features, set upon a chequered base. The underside features the blue factory bellflower stamp: LLADRÓ / HAND MADE IN SPAIN / © DAISA 1987. Additional impressed marks include the model number 5457, 20, and C-8 F, alongside a small black hand-painted mark likely indicating the individual decorator. Height: 26 cm.
