This collection features a substantial quantity of vintage non-sport cigarette cards from major British manufacturers including Cavanders Ltd., W.D. & H.O. Wills, and John Player & Sons. Key series include Cavanders’ The Homeland Series and Camera Studies (hand-coloured real photos), and Ancient Egypt. Wills’ series include Merchant Ships of the World and an ornithological series of birds at their nests. Player’s series include Game Birds and Wild Fowl, Decorations and Medals, and Drum Banners & Cap Badges. These are original 1920s-1930s issues featuring standard lithographic and hand-coloured finishes.
