Anonymous. The Globe Postage Stamp Album of the World. Printed and Made in England, circa 1935-1960. Quarto. Publisher’s green cloth-covered boards with black printed decorative title and globe illustration to the upper board. An extensive mid-20th-century stamp collection containing numerous hinged specimens in various colours from various global territories. Significant sections include Germany, featuring German States (Bavaria, Bergedorf, Bremen, Brunswick, Hamburg, Hanover, Lubeck, and Mecklenburg-Schwerin), Third Reich issues, and post-war occupation zones; and Great Britain, with stamps spanning the reigns of Queen Victoria to Queen Elizabeth II, including commemorative issues for the 1937 Coronation, 1948 Olympic Games, 1951 Festival of Britain, and 1957 issues. Accompanied by a collection of nine B.D.V. Cigarette silk cards housed in a plastic sleeve, depicting British military regimental crests such as The Royal Munster Fusiliers, 4th (Queen’s Own) Hussars, and The Buffs (East Kent Regiment), alongside national ensigns. One card features a contemporary handwritten label identifying a Spinet Warwick Castle.
