A contemporary decorative desk globe featuring a deep blue lapis lazuli-style composite ocean surface. The continents are meticulously hand-inlaid with a variety of semi-precious gemstones, including malachite, mother-of-pearl, and iridescent abalone shell representing Australia. The globe is set within a 360-degree calibrated meridian and a horizontal ring, supported by a polished gold-toned brass tripod-style base. The base features an integrated magnetic compass with a glass cover at the centre. This piece is characteristic of the designs by Unique Art or Alexander Kalifano. Dimensions: Approximately 45cm x 40cm.
