This comprehensive collection of cricket history comprises four distinct framed items. The centrepiece is a significant antique hand-coloured lithograph titled “THE CRICKET MATCH between Sussex & Kent, at Brighton, ” published 1st May 1849. The plate is dedicated by special permission to H.R.H. Prince Albert by M.H. Mason and depicts a Victorian-era match with spectators in period attire against the Brighton skyline. The second item is a complete set of 50 John Player & Sons “Cricketers 1938” cigarette cards, featuring legends such as Sir Donald Bradman, Wally Hammond, and Len Hutton, professionally mounted. The third item is an original England Tour of Australia and New Zealand 1982-83 team photograph, featuring approximately 20 ink signatures on the mount including Bob Willis, David Gower, Ian Botham, Allan Lamb, and Derek Pringle. While no formal certificate of authenticity is present, the signatures are consistent with known examples from the period. The final item is a commemorative print of an oil painting depicting a Kent County Cricket Club team from the late 1960s or early 1970s, identifiable by the white horse emblem on the pavilion.
