A presentation replica set by the Franklin Mint, identified through market consensus as The Golden Dagger of King Tutankhamun. The set comprises a dagger and its matching scabbard, mounted within a dark brown wooden shadow box featuring a ribbed carved border and a deep blue velvet backing. The components are executed in the Ancient Egyptian revival style, utilizing gold-toned metal, likely plated base metal, for all components. The dagger features an ornate hilt decorated with intricate gold relief work and colored enamel accents in blue, red, and black, depicting Egyptian iconography. The polished blade is non-ferrous and features a central spine detail. The matching scabbard is heavily embellished with high-relief figural and zoomorphic carvings depicting a complex hunting scene. A rectangular brass-tone plaque is affixed to the velvet backing, engraved with the text, The Golden Dagger of KING TUTANKHAMUN.
