Saturday 11th April - Lladro & Royal Doulton & Worcester Figurine Sale
This elegant Lladró glazed porcelain figurine, titled Grand Dame and incised with model number 1568, features the elongated, stylised proportions characteristic of the Art Deco movement. The figure is depicted in a shimmering white gown, accessorised with a feathered headpiece adorned with delicate, hand-modelled pink porcelain flowers. The composition is further enhanced by a beaded necklace with a red drop pendant and intricate wrist corsages that support a draped shawl in a subtle lavender tone. The underside of the base bears the official blue stamped Lladró trademark, reading HAND MADE IN SPAIN © DAISA 1983, together with various incised production marks and numbers. This piece is a sophisticated example of the fine craftsmanship associated with the Valencia workshops. Height: Approximately 35cm.
