Saturday 11th April - Lladro & Royal Doulton & Worcester Figurine Sale
A large Lladró gres (stoneware) figurine titled ‘Thai Dancer’ (Kneeling), model number 01012069, designed by sculptor Vicente Martínez. This piece depicts a female dancer in a traditional kneeling pose with hands held in expressive mudras. She wears an elaborate ceremonial costume featuring a multi-tiered mongkut headdress and relief-moulded textures. The figurine is finished in the characteristic earthy gres style with a matte surface and muted glazes in shades of dusty rose, celadon green, and cream. The underside bears the blue stamped factory mark ‘LLADRÓ / HAND MADE IN SPAIN’. Originally issued in 1977 and retired in 2000. Height: 42 cm.
