Saturday 11th April - Lladro & Royal Doulton & Worcester Figurine Sale
A glazed porcelain figurine by Lladró, titled ‘Little Ballerina I’ (alternatively known as ‘Shelley’), model number 1357. The figure depicts a young dancer in a graceful, contemplative pose, seated upon the floor with her legs tucked. She is dressed in a pale pink short-sleeved top, a flared white tutu-style skirt, and light blue tights with brown laced ballet slippers. Her dark hair is pulled back into a neat ponytail. The underside features the standard underglaze blue Lladró factory mark including the stylized flower logo, “LLADRÓ ®”, “HAND MADE IN SPAIN”, and “© DAISA 1978”. The base also bears the incised model mark “G-6 T” alongside various potter’s and decorator’s marks typical of the factory’s production. This model was originally designed by sculptor Salvador Furió. Height: 12 cm.
