Saturday 11th April - Lladro & Royal Doulton & Worcester Figurine Sale
A fine Lladro glazed porcelain figurine entitled Basket of Fun, model number 2324. This piece depicts a young woman in a flowing pink gown, carrying a woven basket lined with a blue cloth containing two kittens, while a third ginger and white kitten perches upon her right shoulder. The figurine is executed in the characteristic Lladro palette of soft pink, blue, and earthy brown tones with a smooth Gres glaze finish. The base bears the official blue Lladro factory mark, including the text 75 XAZ, HAND MADE IN SPAIN, and copyright DAISA 1994. It also features incised model numbers 2324, E-3 MY, and various potter’s marks. The item is accompanied by its original cardboard presentation box from Valencia, Spain, featuring the company logo and web address. Height approximately 28 cm (11 inches).
