A collection of five travel chess and checker sets of various ages and designs. The group is led by a premium magnetic chess board manufactured by Harvey Makin (Widdop and Co., model HM1179), featuring a wooden board with a built-in pull-out drawer and a green flocked, moulded interior for piece storage. Also included is a vintage folding wooden magnetic chess and checker set housed in a hinged wooden case that serves as the board, featuring a yellow foam insert and its original green illustrated retail box. The collection is completed by a portable plastic magnetic chess set with a green and white checkered board, a miniature red and white plastic chess set in a clear hinged display case, and a travel game set contained within a zippered brown leatherette carrying pouch with a top handle. Materials include wood, resin, plastic, and leatherette.
