A vintage German mechanical dual-timer chess clock manufactured by P. Postigis of Werries/Hamm i. W., Germany. The clock features a rectangular dark-stained wooden case housing two independent wind-up mechanical movements, operated by a top-mounted wooden rocker bar mechanism to alternate between timers. The white clock faces are finished with black Arabic numerals and traditional red time-expiry flags, with each dial marked Made in Germany at the base. The reverse of the unit features chrome-plated metal backplates stamped with the manufacturer mark P. POSTIGIS WERRIES/HAMM i. W. and retains its original winding keys and adjustment knobs. Accompanying the clock is a pair of stylised horse-head knight figurines, likely intended as decorative objects or bookends. These pieces are crafted from a moulded off-white composite resin with Art Deco-influenced tiered manes and prominent features.
