A mid-20th-century Gladstone-style travel or professional bag, commonly referred to as a doctor’s bag. The exterior is crafted from a durable, dark brown textured leather featuring a pronounced vertical grain. It is constructed on a rigid metal frame with a hinged mouth opening, a single padded leather carry handle, and a central locking latch flanked by two sliding security bolts. The interior is lined with a mustard-coloured canvas and includes one large lateral slip pocket. The base is fitted with four metal studs for protection. No maker’s marks or stamps are visible on the hardware or leather surfaces.
