A Hardy Bros Marquis #8/9 fly-fishing reel, manufactured in England. The reel is constructed from grey-coated metal and features a black handle and a drag adjustment knob. The outer face is incised with the text MARQUIS #8/9 and Made by Hardy Bros Ltd England. The spool is currently fitted with a length of green fly line. Accompanying the reel is a coordinating two-tone circular zippered storage case. The blue lid of the case is gold-stamped with the castle logo and the inscription MADE IN ENGLAND BY Hardy Bros (Alnwick) Ltd. The base of the case is finished in a cream-coloured material with a blue fabric interior lining.
