An four-string banjo-ukulele featuring a wooden resonator with a high-gloss brown finish and black binding. The instrument is constructed with a wooden neck and a dark wood fingerboard, possibly rosewood or ebony, decorated with eight rectangular pearloid block inlays. The head is fitted with a white synthetic skin held by etension hooks. The metal hardware is nickel or chrome-plated, featuring a tailpiece with an engraved foliate design cover. The headstock is fitted with open-gear machine heads and white plastic buttons. On the reverse of the headstock is a yellow adhesive label printed with Made in GDR. The instrument is housed in a fitted black textured hard shell case with a green felt-lined interior. The exterior of the case bears the name GILLIAN DAWSON in gold-coloured lettering.
