A mid-20th-century cast brass model of a fighter aircraft, identified by consensus as a Supermarine Spitfire. The model features the characteristic elliptical wing planform and a three-bladed propeller. It is supported by a central metal rod mounted upon a ten-pointed star-shaped base. The underside of the base is incised with the words BRITISH MADE BRASS. The piece is representative of trench art or military souvenirs from the Second World War era. The casting shows typical surface irregularities and a solid metal construction.
