A stained hardwood jardiniere or plant stand in the Edwardian style, dating to the early 20th century. The piece features a square solid top with a moulded edge, supported by four tall, square-section tapering legs. Each side is joined by a shaped apron with a central arched and scalloped cutout. The legs support a lower square shelf with a moulded front edge. The construction is of a stained hardwood, possibly mahogany. No maker marks, symbols, or labels are visible on the base or body of the item.
