A varied collection of personal effects and writing instruments. The writing group includes a burgundy resin fountain pen featuring a gold-toned arrow-shaped clip and a single cap band in the style of Parker; a lever-filler fountain pen crafted from mottled brown and tan celluloid with a gold-toned ball-end clip and incised marks to the barrel; a grey and clear resin propelling pencil with a conical metal tip; a miniature gold-toned chatelaine pencil with a green hardstone bead charm; and a Pentel brand pen presented in its original clear plastic case marked Japan. The lot also contains a small case of metal dip pen nibs, with one component marked Made in England.
The personal accessories comprise a pair of Ray-Ban Wayfarer-style sunglasses in dark tortoiseshell-effect frames; a Lorus gold-toned quartz pocket watch with a white dial and Roman numerals on a curb-link chain; a gold-toned wristwatch with a white dial and an expanding metal link bracelet; and a boxed set of Irish interest jewellery including cufflinks and tie slides featuring the Coillte crest. Further items include a small single-blade folding pocket knife with mottled orange celluloid scales; a brown leather scissor case with steel scissors; a small black leather pouch; and a heavy metal oval medallion depicting a classical female bust in relief.
The lot is completed by two figurines: a hand-painted porcelain figure of a seated youth with a flute and a Dalmatian dog in the Staffordshire style, and a small ceramic brown horse in a grazing posture.
