Buyer's Premium:

A pair of 19th-century style earthenware spill vases, attributed to the Staffordshire pottery tradition. Each piece is modelled as a cow and a standing calf positioned on a rustic, grassy base beside a stylised stream. A flared spill holder, shaped as a textured tree trunk, is set behind the cow. The figures are crafted from earthenware, likely pearlware or creamware, and decorated with hand-painted overglaze enamels. The cows and calves are finished in an orange-red and white palette with black facial details. The bases and spill holders feature a sponged or mottled application of green, brown, and yellow glazes, while the interior of the spill holders is finished in an orange-yellow glaze. No maker marks, letters, or symbols are present on the underside of the bases or the bodies of the items.
