Buyer's Premium:

This lot features a collection of British silver and white metal items, with a primary focus on marksmanship and traditional Scottish Highland dress. The centrepiece is a sterling silver commemorative prize spoon for the Northumberland Rifle Association, manufactured by the esteemed Sheffield makers Walker and Hall Ltd. The spoon features a decorative handle terminal with a red and white enamelled shield, topped by a finial in the form of a standing rifleman. It is presented in its original black leatherette fitted case with a silk and velvet lining. Also included is a fine Scottish kilt pin designed as a miniature basket-hilted dirk, crafted in silver with an amber-coloured stone set into the hilt and a green hardstone inlay to the scabbard, characteristic of Iona or Connemara marble. The collection further comprises a Celtic Revival circular brooch with intricate knotwork and a central blue stone cabochon, a pair of silver studs with star motifs and amber-coloured centres, an ornate rectangular silver buckle with foliate scrollwork, and a small ribbed silver-toned cylindrical component, possibly from a mechanical pencil.
