A collection of ten pre-built and painted 1/72 scale military vehicle models from the DeAgostini series titled The Combat Tanks Collection. The models are of composite construction, utilizing diecast metal and plastic components with factory-applied paint finishes and decals. Each vehicle is mounted to a textured plastic display base simulating various terrains and is housed within an individual clear acrylic protective case.
The collection includes several German Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS vehicles: a Pz.Kpfw. V Panther Ausf. A (Sd.Kfz. 171) in three-colour ambush camouflage for 1.SS-Pz.Div. LSSAH, Normandy 1944; an Sd.Kfz. 234/2 Puma armoured car for 11.SS-Fw.Pz.Gren.Div Nordland, Estonia 1944; an Sd.Kfz. 9 FAMO with 88mm Flak 37 for 26.Pz.Div., Italy 1944; and a Sturmpanzer IV Brummbär (Sd.Kfz. 166) for Stu.Pz.Abt. 216, Italy 1944.
Allied and Soviet representations include a Soviet IS-2 heavy tank for 104 Arm. Regiment, Berlin 1945; a U.S. M4A3 (76mm) Sherman for the 761st Tank Battalion, Germany 1945; a British Morris Commercial C8 Quad Gun Tractor with 25 pdr gun and limber, Normandy 1944; a French Somua S35 for 1ere DLM, France 1940; and a U.S. Army 2.5-ton 6×6 truck. The collection also includes a modern Iraqi Army T-72M1 main battle tank for the 3rd Armoured Division Salah al-Din, Kuwait 1991.
