A 20th-century Dutch Zaanse style wall clock, produced by Warmink (Wuba). The case is constructed from oak with a shaped backboard and features decorative cast brass elements throughout, including twisted pillars flanking the dial. The clock is surmounted by a cast metal figure of Atlas supporting a blue celestial globe decorated with a gold-toned crescent moon and stars. The brass fretwork above the dial bears the traditional Dutch inscription NU ELCK SYN SIN. The dial features a white-finished chapter ring with black Roman numerals for hours and Arabic numerals for minutes, set against a dark velvet ground with ornate brass scrollwork spandrels. The mechanical movement is weight-driven with brass gearing visible through side-mounted glass panels and is powered by two pear-shaped brass weights on a chain system. The clock is designed to strike a bell on the hour and half-hour.
