A collection of seven die-cast metal model aircraft produced by Amercom as part of a partwork magazine series. The group includes a variety of military aircraft from the Second World War and the early Jet Age. Each model is constructed from die-cast metal with plastic detailing parts such as propellers and antennas. The models are designed for static display and several include black plastic display stands. The specific models in this collection consist of a Kawanishi H8K Emily flying boat in dark green Imperial Japanese Navy livery with Hinomaru markings, a Blohm and Voss Bv 222 Wiking six-engine Luftwaffe flying boat in maritime splinter camouflage with Balkenkreuz markings, and an Avro Lancaster B Mk III heavy bomber in Royal Air Force desert camouflage marked YZ-J. Also included are an English Electric Lightning F6 interceptor in a natural metal finish marked M, a Consolidated PBY Catalina patrol bomber in US Navy blue and grey maritime livery, a Vought F4U-1D Corsair in dark sea blue US Navy livery, and a Gloster Javelin FAW.9 interceptor in natural metal finish with orange day-glo panels, bearing serial number XL579 and squadron number 92. The items are housed in their original plastic blister packaging, with some attached to illustrated backing cards. One Exclusive Model magazine featuring the Short Sunderland is included.
