This collection of four utilitarian pewter items comprises a teapot, a lidded ewer, a two-handled cup, and a cream jug. The teapot is of compressed globular form featuring a tall, stepped, and domed lid with a rounded finial, a curved spout, and a scrolled handle of black composite or wood-effect material. The base of the teapot is impressed with the characters A 1 P E W T E R arranged in a curve beneath a mark depicting a crown over an X and the numeral 5. The small lidded ewer is of baluster form with horizontal incised banding to the neck, a hinged flat lid with a decorative thumbpiece, and a single S-scroll handle. The two-handled cup is a simple flared vessel with slender loop handles and indistinct marks to the base. The cream jug features an ovoid body with a wide flared rim, a pointed spout with a decorative scroll-form support at the join, and a single loop handle. All items are of cast construction.
