The piece is crafted using a Sommerso-style encased colour technique, featuring a vibrant ruby red glass core within a pale yellow-green glass body. The outer yellow-green glass layer contains uranium, which exhibits a strong, bright green fluorescence when exposed to ultraviolet light. The figurine features hand-formed details including large ears and a tapered trunk. The base is ground flat and polished. No maker’s marks, signatures, or factory labels are present. This style of glasswork is characteristic of mid-20th-century production, often associated with Murano or Continental European glassworks.
