A mid-century modern style ceramic figure of an eagle attributed to Blue Mountain Pottery, Canada. The bird is depicted in a dramatic pose with wings spread wide, perched upon a textured, rocky-style base. The figurine is constructed from a red clay body, which is visible at the unglazed foot rim. It features the characteristic high-gloss flowing drip glaze associated with this maker, consisting of vibrant streaks of turquoise and emerald green over a dark, near-black base colour. The base of the item is hollow and glazed internally. There are no visible impressed, incised, or printed factory marks on the base or body of the item.
