Monday 11th May - Antiques, Jewellery, Militaria, Coins, Comics Vinyl, Toys, Ceramics, Collectables
This assortment of approximately 25 ceramic items consists primarily of glazed earthenware character jugs, many resembling the production of Royal Doulton and other mid-20th-century North Staffordshire potteries. The lot includes a variety of sizes ranging from large display pieces to miniatures. Subjects featured include nautical and pirate themes with eyepatches and parrots, historical figures such as a man holding a green bottle inscribed WHISKY in black block lettering, and a woman in a pink bonnet holding a ball of wool. Functional novelty wares are present, including a sugar sifter and matching egg cups depicting a figure in a blue coat, a miniature policeman jug with a whistle-form handle, a small green boot-shaped vessel, and a miniature relief-moulded stein. Two pieces are finished in a monochrome pale green celadon-style glaze. The items feature polychrome hand-painted decoration over moulded bodies. No manufacturer marks are visible on the exterior or bases in the provided images.
