A rectangular serving tray produced by Carlos Zipperer in Sao Bento do Sul, Brazil. The central decorative panel consists of a complex, symmetrical collage of natural butterfly wings, including iridescent Blue Morpho wings alongside various yellow, orange, and brown patterned species, all preserved under a glass cover. The frame is constructed from dark wood and features two integrated handles. The border is decorated with a geometric marquetry inlay of contrasting light and dark timbers. The reverse of the tray retains a partial, serrated paper label with the printed text Carlos Zipperer, S. Bento do Sul, Industria. This item is constructed of wood and glass; no metal components are identified.
