This lot comprises two distinct writing accessories from the late 19th to early 20th century. The first is an Edwardian style desktop inkstand and stationery cabinet constructed from mahogany-toned wood with ebonised moulded borders. The rectangular base features a recessed pen tray and a central curved brass loop handle. It is fitted with two square, clear cut-glass inkwells with hinged white metal lids featuring a domed quatrefoil design. A shallow frieze drawer is located at the front, fitted with a small turned metal pull-knob. The second item is an Art Nouveau pewter inkstand of triangular shield form with a raised, curved rim. The base is decorated with a repoussé garland of five roses and foliage. It features a central cylindrical inkwell with a hinged, domed lid and contains a removable white ceramic ink pot liner. No maker marks are visible on the exterior of either piece.
