A traditional Irish shillelagh walking stick carved from a single piece of wood, identified by web consensus as blackthorn. The item features a bulbous integral knob handle formed from a natural root or branch junction. The shaft possesses a slight natural curve and is finished with a dark, textured stain or lacquer throughout. The base of the shaft terminates in a blunt end where a thin metal filament or wire is visible protruding from the centre. No maker’s marks, brand names, or country of origin markings are visible on the piece.
