A licensed Buffy the Vampire Slayer themed chess set manufactured by Trademark Toys Ltd. in London, UK, under license from Twentieth Century Fox. The set includes a folding checkered game board in purple and black with series branding on the margins. It features a complete set of 32 hand-painted plastic character figurines representing major characters from the first two seasons of the television series. The Light Side consists of Angel as King, Buffy Summers as Queen, Rupert Giles as Bishops, Xander Harris as Knights, Willow Rosenberg as Rooks, and eight pawns depicting Xander Harris in a red jacket. The Dark Side consists of Spike as King, Drusilla as Queen, The Master as Bishops, vampire minions as Knights, Darla as Rooks, and eight pawns depicting blue-skinned demons. The set is housed in its original illustrated retail box with a vacuum-formed plastic internal tray. Printed marks on the instruction sheet and box include Trademark Toys Ltd., Park House, Deer Park Road, London, and Twentieth Century Fox copyright attributions.
