An early 20th-century arched mahogany mantle clock. The case features light wood string inlay and a central inlaid bow-and-garland motif. It is fitted with a circular white dial featuring Arabic numerals, set within a hinged brass-framed glass bezel. The mechanical spring-driven movement is accessible via a rear wooden door and is stamped on the backplate with the maker mark possibly Enfield Clock Co., including a six-pointed star and the text British Manufacture. Affixed to the lower front of the case is a rectangular presentation plaque inscribed: PRESENTED TO MR. JAS. BELL, by the Officials & Clerical Staff of WESTERTON & MERRINGTON COLLIERIES March 1924. The clock is complete with a pendulum and a brass T-shaped winding key.
