A Ringtons What a Drag hand-painted polyresin caricature figurine. This promotional item depicts a humorous role-reversal scene featuring a delivery man in a brown suit and black bowler hat harnessed to and pulling a traditional delivery van across a cobbled-effect base. Inside the van, a horse is shown winking and holding a cup of tea and a biscuit. The side of the van features the text RINGTONS TEA in raised gold-tone lettering, with VAN DELIVERIES TO ALL PARTS inscribed along the roofline. The front of the van canopy is marked RINGTONS. The underside of the base is printed in gold-tone with the title What a Drag above the Ringtons logo and the text INDIVIDUALLY HAND PAINTED PRODUCED EXCLUSIVELY FOR RINGTONS. This item was produced as an exclusive collectible for the Newcastle upon Tyne based tea merchant. It is accompanied by its original green and cream cardboard box which features the same title, logo, and descriptive text.
