A carved hardwood figure depicting a Maasai warrior in a crouching defensive posture. The figure is crafted from a dense, dark-stained hardwood, possibly ebony, with a polished finish. The warrior is adorned with multi-strand glass or plastic beaded jewellery in white and red, including necklaces, armbands, and anklets. The head features an intricately carved hairstyle with a textured, reddish-brown finish. The figure holds a removable wooden spear in the right hand and a separate carved oval shield in the left. A traditional seme short sword is tucked into a belt at the rear. The figure is mounted on an integral oval wooden base which features incised and stained geometric patterns around the perimeter. A small, illegible yellow sticker is present on the upper portion of the spear.
