A Royal Albert bone china tea and dessert service in the Old Country Roses pattern, comprising approximately 38 pieces. The service features transfer-printed decoration of red, pink, and yellow roses with green foliage. Each piece is finished with a gold-gilt sponge or stippled application to the scalloped, fluted rims. The forms follow the Montrose shape, noted for fluted bodies and ornate handles with gold accents. The service includes a teapot with a matching lid and stylized finial, a cream jug, a three-tier cake stand with a gold-tone metal central spindle, teacups, saucers, and side plates. Also included are a rectangular serving tray with two inset bowls, a heart-shaped dish with the inscription Happy Birthday in gold script, a miniature handled basket, and circular serving bowls. The base of the pieces bears a printed backstamp with a floral sprig above Old Country Roses in pink script, followed by ROYAL ALBERT, BONE CHINA, ENGLAND, and © ROYAL ALBERT LTD 1962 in green.
