A pair of rectangular lidded boxes constructed from hand-carved soapstone with a dyed black finish. Each box features incised white decoration. One lid depicts a stylised elephant amidst a repeating scale pattern, while the other features a stylised fish on a similar background. The sides of the boxes are decorated with continuous zigzag and circular motifs. The interiors are left in the natural light grey tone of the stone. Both bases bear the incised handwritten inscription Specially handmade in Kenya for Besmo.
