A collection of two silver items consisting of a vintage souvenir charm bracelet and a bead link necklace. The charm bracelet is constructed from a double link chain with an attached safety chain and a box clasp stamped 830S HERBST, identifying the piece as the work of Danish silversmith Hans Herbst. The bracelet features nine assorted charms including six enamel souvenir shields representing Newcastle, Scarborough, Windermere, Blackpool, Gretna Green (The Old Blacksmith’s Shop), and a town crest with the letters BB. Additional charms include a three dimensional Eiffel Tower, a galloping horse, and a central swivel mounted fob hand engraved with the date 1/1 1971 1/1. The reverse of several charms bear various stamps including SILVER, a maker’s mark consisting of the initials AS within a semi-circular frame above the word SILVER, and a set of British hallmarks including the maker mark AJS. The accompanying necklace is of an alternating spherical bead and cylindrical bar link design, secured by a bolt ring clasp stamped 925 for sterling silver.
