A Vintage Italian cinema poster for the 1968 animated feature film Yellow Submarine (Il Sottomarino Giallo), featuring The Beatles. The upper section features a distinctive blue-toned psychedelic collage design by the film’s art director, Heinz Edelmann, depicting stylized portraits of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr amidst various surrealist characters and imagery from the production. The lower credits block is printed in Italian and lists producer Al Brodax, director George Dunning, and writers Lee Minoff, Jack Mendelsohn, and Erich Segal. The poster includes the United Artists and Transamerica Corporation logos, as well as a reference to the original soundtrack on Apple Records (PMCQ 31517) distributed by EMI Italiana. The bottom left corner identifies the printer as Sericolor Roma, and the bottom right bears a legal notice for S.A.C. S.p.A. alongside a 1968 copyright for King Features Syndicate and Subafilms. The poster is housed in a contemporary silver-tone metal snap frame.
