A collection of five mid-century modern art glass vases of various forms and techniques, reflecting diverse European design influences. The group comprises: 1. A hand-blown swirl glass vase with pulled patterns of opaque white, vibrant red, and amethyst glass, featuring a bulbous base and a slender neck with a flared rim. 2. A cylindrical emerald green glass vase with an all-over textured surface, in the style of the ‘Bark’ range designed by Geoffrey Baxter for Whitefriars. 3. A bi-colour glass vase with vertical blue and clear stripes, terminating in a five-lobed ‘fingered’ clear glass base, characteristic of Scandinavian manufacturers such as Aseda or Murano makers. 4. A tall, slender stem vase in deep cobalt blue glass with a diagonal slanted rim, set into a heavy, clear glass square-section base, resembling Nordic designs by makers such as Riihimaki or Holmegaard. 5. A tapering cylindrical smoky teal-blue glass vase featuring a ‘seedy’ texture with numerous controlled air bubbles and a bulbous collar below a flat-ground rim. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels were observed on any of the pieces.
