This authentic Royal Automobile Club (RAC) car radiator badge is a mid-20th century piece, likely dating from the 1940s to 1950s. The badge is constructed from chrome-plated die-cast metal featuring a translucent blue plastic or celluloid background insert. The front displays the iconic RAC monogram in relief within a diamond-shaped border, surmounted by an Imperial-style crown. The reverse is stamped with official club markings: THE PROPERTY OF THE R.A.C., the individual serial number V156256, and the manufacturer mark BHAM MEDAL and BADGE COY LTD. The V prefix suggests this example was issued by the Royal Automobile Club of Victoria, Australia. Two original mounting screws are located at the base for attachment to a vehicle grille or badge bar. Approximately 10 cm in height.
