Produced by Bachmann in 2008 to celebrate the company’s 175th anniversary (1833-2008), this is a static commemorative display model of the historic Locomotion No. 1 steam engine and tender. The model is constructed from die-cast metal featuring a dark, patinated pewter-style finish. It is presented as a non-functional display piece, mounted upon a wooden display base with an integrated metal display track. The assembly is housed within a clear acrylic display case. A commemorative metal plaque is fixed to the wooden base, inscribed 1833-2008 BACHMANN 175 Celebrating 175 Years of Quality LOCOMOTION No. 1. The locomotive boiler also features a cast plate reading LOCOMOTION 1825.
