A 14 carat yellow gold signet ring featuring a bezel-set oval bloodstone intaglio. The dark green stone, or heliotrope, exhibits characteristic red jasper inclusions and is carved with the initials IH in a serif typeface. The ring is designed with decorative shoulders featuring chased foliate and scrollwork motifs, tapering to a plain polished shank. The interior of the band is stamped with the fineness mark 585, denoting 14 carat gold, and a maker’s mark comprising the letters GLL within a rectangular frame.
