An assortment of silver-plated tableware comprising two candelabra and a cased flatware set. The cased two-piece set includes a butter knife and a preserve spoon by Parkin & Sons of Sheffield. The handles are designed in a geometric Art Deco style with diamond-shaped terminals. Both pieces are stamped on the reverse with the maker’s mark P A & S and E P N S for electro-plated nickel silver. They are housed in a black fitted case with a blue velvet base and a white satin-lined lid.
The collection includes a three-light silver-plated candelabrum in the Rococo Revival style, featuring heavy cast decoration of shell, scroll, and foliate motifs on the shaped square base and sconce rims. The scrolling branches are accented with small spurs. The lower edge of the base is stamped Made in England and Silver Plate.
Also included is a large five-light silver-plated candelabrum of neo-classical design, featuring a central light and four scrolling branches. The piece is supported by a tapering stem and a circular base decorated with reeded and beaded borders. No maker’s marks are visible on this candelabrum.
