This lot comprises two British military transit cases. The first is a heavy-duty steel ammunition chest designed for 84mm infantry practice anti-tank ammunition, specifically for the L41A3 Carl Gustaf recoilless rifle. The chest is finished in olive drab paint and features a hinged lid secured by two front tension latches, with side-mounted drop handles. It features yellow stencilled markings to the front including 6 RDS 84MM INF PRAC ATK, L41A3 IN CNRS, AKB 204 T, and ABCA within a rectangular border. The lower section is marked S320/R CY 11/67, indicating a date of November 1967.
The second item is a rectangular equipment or instrument transit case. It is constructed from a textured black material or metal with a crackle-effect finish. The lid is secured by four metal tension latches and features a side-mounted metal carry handle. An incised broad arrow symbol, the traditional mark of British government property, is present on the lid.
